Arrival of Pirates

As the waters around The Wasted Lands calmed down many pirates from the area began seeking new horizons. One of these was Midway Island. Although the island had little to offer in terms of riches some of the seers offered knowledge and nautical prowess to those who would settle there. Most pirates refused but a few of the more odd ones did.

Not much is recorded about the pirates who did settle down on Midway Island but many scholars believe that the seers were able to use magic to twist their brains and become the strange warriors we see today. No matter the cause their prowess with ships did indeed increase and they were able to repel all the other pirates from the area, quickly gaining the nickname of "Viking".
