The Tress Wander North

Population Migration / Travel

1967AoC

A short while after the gnomes settled in Zimzankatan, the trees of the Living Forest had enough. These new creatures, gnomes, were not bound by the rules they had negotiated with the other fey. Fortunately, they were more localized and to avoid them, the trees simply wandered north.

As the trees wandered north they found a desolate and dense area of the forest. Here almost no animal lived and here they settled down. As they did so they helped the other trees grow and the grove became ever more dense and hostile to animals.   Now the grove is almost completely devoid of animal life and the trees act as caretakers of their unawakened brethren. Some fey still travel out to them, from time to time, in order to make sure their obligations are still fulfilled and other fey do not come too close.   As there became less whimsy from the fey so too did the trees also become more accepting of other races, although the grove still remains mostly hostile to general life.
