Discovery of Morgrouth Island

Discovery, Exploration

3243AoC

As the people of Morgrouth Island explored the waters around them, they found that several whirlpools were located to the northwest of them. It quickly became a way to test captains and ships to see how many whirlpools they could navigate, even though failure often led to death. Eventually, a single crew managed to find a way through all of the whirlpools and discovered land beyond them, raised by an unknown world tree.

The new world tree was named Li'n Morgrouth, "the strange one", as it was not known when it had grown and what aspect it had taken from Li'li'kar if any. It did not have any aspects from Li'li'kar that had been written about and no shaking had taken place to signify the growing of a new world tree. Some scholars argue that rose from the quick activation of the great magic circle, but it is likely too developed for that to have been the trigger. Others argue that it is an original world tree similar to Li'li'kar that rose when E'ath was made.   The Holy Order of Druids were quick to take notice and spent a lot of time and money exploring this new world tree and its rules. Since it was discovered the same year as the death of Zemos some believe the druids used its discovery as a way to lead people's attention away from that tragedy, with others arguing that it is the reincarnation of Zemos.
