War of Kunar Island

Military: War

The halflings of Kunar Island had been happy keeping to themselves with not much happening. When they had heard of the dwarven conquest most of them disregarded it and the dwarves did not care much for Kunar Island either. This changed several generations later when Tharnred Crystalgut II invaded.

The halflings had little hope of besting him in open combat as they had little in the war of armour and weapons nor were they, seasoned warriors. Instead, they chose to flee from the dwarves and in an act of either spite or tactical genius they decided to burn the land and crops as they left and fled towards Bob Goodbody's final resting place, hoping he could guide them in their need.   The dwarves advanced slowly due to their lack of provisions and unfamiliarity with cultivating and foraging plains and forests. When they finally reached the last few towns and bastions of Kunar Island the halflings where more than prepared and managed to hold the dwarves in a war of attrition which they eventually won.
