Weather of the Northern Savage Isles

The northern part of the Savage Isles is mostly compromised of arid steppes, which get very cold during winters. However since there is no world tree governing the area the weather is mostly stable except the rainy season during the summer months. Due to this mostly grasses and flowers exists here with very few trees which have a hard time surviving due to extreme flooding during summer months and high wind speeds all year round.   Further south in the savage isles the temperature gets warmer and more trees appear. The area is generally lush with many different plants growing despite how arid the area is. Similar to the northern area there are also heavy rainfall here during the summer months which feeds the many lakes here and provides water for the plants.
