Waterfield
Waterfield is small city at the mouth of the Gulf of Li'minar. Here it serves as a trading point between ships coming in from the outside world and the few ships with a crew insane enough the brave the waters of the gulf. Although the crew of the later could easily sell their wares to the rest of the world they are able to charge a large premium for the relative short distances they sail inside gulf, making the trade very profitable, if risky, for those who do not put great value to their lives.
Besides trade this city also serves as the largest meeting point between the aquatic races in the gulf and the non-aquatic races from outside. This is largely due to the fact that the Holy Order of Druids are keeping Nisdain as small as possible. The city has only increased in importance after Waterstriders, the largest marine guild in E'ath, decided to move their headquarters to the city. From here they attract many would be merchants and fund great expeditions, both mercantile and exploratory to the ocean south of E'ath.
The city itself is governed by the many guild it contains in an effective plutocracy. Although Waterstriders is the largest and most influential guild, many smaller guilds can sometimes have a say by grouping together and pushing through legislation.
