Prayer of the Deceased
Due to the wet nature of the area around the Treasure Waters it is impossible to dig graves as any hole in the ground quickly fills up with waters. Instead the locals strap some timber to the body and sets it adrift on one of the lakes during misty mornings. The bodies are never found again, so many have come to believe that in this way the deceased body takes the place of one of those who would otherwise disappear.
The ceremony in itself is not grand and typically only 2-3 people are present, but it does bring some comfort to those living in the camps around the Treasure Waters.
