Great Magic War

At Year 0 AE, it is well known that all out war engulfed this continent when the deity introduced Arcane Magic into the world. Seizing initiatives, kings, emperors, and even especially covetous mayors invaded each other in the hopes of expanding their territories and claiming each other's resources for their own. This war ran for a millenium, as wizards and sorcerers used powerful magics to bend the world to their will, causing immense damage to landscapes and irreversible scars on the ecosystem.
