Terahulkk
Terahulkk is the youngest of the Dwarven Expansion Kingdoms, being the last to chose a suiting land to settle into. This kingdom is located at the far end at the foot of the Shoreside Mountains, just North of Bahamut's Gulf. The architecture here is much more akin to Human or Halfling build, but still retain it's deep Dwarven roots. Though by Dwarf standards the architecture there is utterly unremarkable. Because of it's location, Terahulkk is more secluded than other cities of Dwarven make.
Defences
Terahulkk claims a wall that encompasses the city. Made from the stone of the nearby Shoreside Mountains. But this city's true defensive strength lies in their spearmen and siege weapons. In a defense, the Dwarves of Terahulkk will create a wall of interlocking iron shields that have slots to rest halberds and javelins. A very efficient form of fortification. And finally, their siege weapons. These Dwarves are the proud inventors of the coveted Trebuchet. The Trebuchet was created as a reaction to large Human armies attacking the fortress.
Industry & Trade
Yes, like all Dwarves, the residents of Terahulkk have a love for mining, however they have come across an asset that no other Dwarves have chosen to explore... Fishing. Because of their location being North of Bahamut's Gulf they have plentiful amounts of fish to feed the residents. Trade will always be open to the Dreknul Empire for the strong history behind the two nations.
History
In the time of the Great Expanding, three Dwarven clans had decided to immigrate from Ginnungagap into new lands to obtain new resources. These Dwarves took the longest to settle into their new home for they had unknowingly traveled through harsh lands that were difficult to traverse. Eventually they had discovered the Shoreside Mountains which is where they would have settled if there was not already an established city there. These Dwarves did not wish to start any quarrel with the locals of this land, for they were powerful and had magic that was more advanced than any Dwarf mage's was at the time. So they went to them hoping for supplies and directions to unoccupied lands. These locals were quite welcoming to the Dwarf pioneers and were glad to give whatever they needed in return for a share of whatever riches they find in their new home. So the traveling clan went to the discussed land and found wide rolling hills with green grass and black sand by the coast. Because they are Dwarves, they settled at the Mountain's foot. And that is where they reside to this day.
(need more info on the human war)
These settlers were also the first Dwarves to have a use for boats. Naturally they used their Dwarven intuition to invent the longboat for maximum efficiency for their purposes.
Architecture
The smooth outer walls of Terahulkk are fairly simple looking for Dwarven craft (which is still fairly intricate) with battlements across the top, and stout towers to place their trebuchets. The homes are a simple mixture of stonework and wood planks. The grand fortress of the city is built atop the mountain's foot looking over Terahulkk. The front of this keep is carved in the likeness of the Dwarf god, Moradin, with the mouth being the doors inside.
Geography
The land at the foot of the Shoreside Mountains is a flat, healthy plain with a few rolling hills strewn about. The shores around Bahamut's Gulf is covered in black sand and stones, which is greatly appriciated by the Dwarves of Terahulkk.
