Strath
Strath is a small, but significant, village beyond the Western Gate. It lies near the edge of the continent so its denizens don't often leave the village. Strath's population is one of the largest concentrations of little-folk (Halflings, Gnomes) on the continent followed by Vasign.
Strath does not know many wars, as the natural tendency of its people is to avoid such things. However, they are no strangers to the occasional Hobgoblin or bandit raid. Due to this, they have many developed arts. The innate inventiveness of gnomes has been able to flourish under these circumstances. This has given its residents ample time to create many contraptions the rest of Dwaistar does not often know.
Artificing is a very respected profession in Strath, and many of its citizens practice it. Many famous inventors across history have come from or been directly influenced by the people of Strath.
Industry & Trade
Strath is mostly farmland with access to the Dactyl Gulf, so food is rarely scarce. Strath's infrastructure is almost entirely self-sustaining, with little need for trade. There are a handful of merchants that do travel beyond the Western Gate, however they are uncommon to see outside of common trade routes.
Architecture
The architecture is understandably less vertical than you might find in other places of the world. The people here have no need for tall buildings. They prefer to build their homes in circular shapes with thatched roofs. However, as they are a village of artists, there are many exceptions for the sake of personal flaire.
