Isle of Frozen Winds
The northernmost point in Dwaistar's territory and Most infamous isle from the mainland. This isle has been made into a prison for the race of Frost Giants that formerly terrorized the northern lands of Dwaistar.
Geography
Surrounded by freezing waters and terrible storms, none can hope to get on or off this land without the use of magical means. The isle is mountainous and covered with snow and ice. Glaciers form around the main part of the island and act as a deterrent to any wise sailor. Fog usually covers the beaches of the isle year-round, concealing all but the highest peaks of it's mountains.
History
Once the location of a High Elf city, the Isle of Frozen Winds (formerly the Isle of Mehroni) was home to a group of hermetic Elves. But early in the first Era, the reign of Frost Giants in the north was becoming too much for cities like Ginnungagap to bear. So the Elves sacrificed the seclusion of their island home it use it as a prison for the terrible monstrosities.
Eventually the Alliance of Frozen Winds was created to push back against the giants. With a proper army resisting, the Frost Giants were forced to the northern beaches behind the Shadow Mountains. After a difficult battle that lasted three days, a display of powerful magic not seen since was cast, banishing the forces of the Frost Giants across the beaches and glaciers onto the isle. The distance and waters are too great for the giants to ever hope to escape.
These giants now live horrible lives with no hope to leave, stewing in their own anger and plotting some kind of revenge. Revenge is the only thought on their minds. So much so, they even named their village Revenge.
