Drufwidde

Drufwidde is a small town in the Nethest Coast above the Kirdeer peninsula. It was originally built by Humans, but it is now a place open to all peoples. The town itself is built along a beach for easy access to the water for fishing, boating, and travel by water. Any adventurer knows they are welcome in Drufwidde, so long as they don't overstay their welcome. Lest the locals become suspicious and attempt to drive them out.

Demographics

The locals of Drufwidde are originally Human based, but over time they have been more welcoming to most other races. Save for Dragonborn and Goliaths, which they are skeptical of.

Government

Drufwidde is primarily a self-sufficient community, although the land is technically under the rule of the Kingdom of Neo Alfen. Because of the distance, Drufwidde is overseen by an advisor of the king as well as a lord.

Defences

Drufwidde is often quarreling with the nearby Kirdeer capitol, so they must defend themselves. Druftwidde has constructed great walls to protect from war boats incoming. These walls are made from the tallest logs they can find in the Myrkvidr just to the West. The guards here are also excellent archers, which greatly helps against sea-fairing rivals.

Industry & Trade

Because of the location of this town, naturally, fishing is a wondrous business. Fish, crabs, and the occasional lobster are among to most common foods here. The tavern owners here are also fantastic cooks of soups and chowders.

Architecture

All buildings here are made of planks and logs. But the most innovative part of their architecture is the roofs. Drufwidde’s roofs are recycled from their old ships. When their ships can no longer be used at sea, they are overturned and placed directly on a house, there by completing it. Though obviously there are still homes and shops with traditional roofs.

Geography

This town is built on a beach along the Nethest Coast. Long and thin is the coast out to the sea, so the people there make sure to be cautious when placing new homes. With the local plant life being wholly unremarkable in the fields toward the Myrkvidr, the people of Drufwidde have taken to planting fields of many different foodstuffs outside the town itself.
