Dreknul
Dreknul is a large city established long ago by Dragonborn outcasts. In the days when the world was young, Dragonborn were considered to be monstrosities among Human communities. So, to the west of the Shoreside Mountains they went. There the Dragonborn built for themselves a grand city to live in. Grand towers of silver pierce the sky and catch the light of the sun.
Government
The city is ruled under the Counsel of the Purple Spine. In times of war, this counsel steps down and is commanded by the Counsel of Daaself in it's stead, for they prefer peace over conflict and the Counsel of Daaself are more equipped to handle a full scale war.
Infrastructure
They house excellent mages, and most immigration is through the local mage's college.
History
Most of this town's history has been lost to time, but what is known is a tragic tale. When the mountains were still young, Dragonborn were beginning to appear all across the land of Dwaistar. Fear and prejudice fell over the peoples of the land. So, scholars, wizards, and tradesmen of Dragonborn descent came together to build a city that would be safe for all Dragonborn to reside. These half-dragons were at first kind-spirited and welcoming to all, even if they had wronged them. They still hold a strong bond to the Dwarves of Terahulkk on the other side of the Shoreside Mountains. However, over time the hearts of Dreknul have grown bitter towards outsiders due to an ever present hatred towards their people. They no longer aid in conflicts and have little interest in modern politics. The only outsiders they tolerate are those attending the mage's college and messengers under emergency sends.
Architecture
The counsel chamber is the centerpiece to the city. It's five spires of silver reach into the sky, lording over the rest of the city. The remainder of the town is of humble construct and tends to be wholly unremarkable in it's architecture. The locals prefer their homes to have history and personality over fine craftsmanship. As a result, most homes leave marks on the floor, holes in the walls, and broken pottery how they are, so long as they don't intrude on comfort. To this culture, every blemish has a story, and a reason to be where it is.
Geography
To the southeast of Dreknul are the Shoreside Mountains. In all other directions flat, rocky plains.
