Yanihu
Yanihu are giant beetle-like insects that live in the Āqi’ā Ahī of Teshoya. They burrow under the sand during the day, both to protect themselves from the heat and to trap animals that pass over where they lurk. Capable of going for very long times without eating and sustaining themselves on very small amounts of food, Yanihu are well-suited to survive in the harsh desert conditions.
The Khalgesh use them as pack animals and sources of food.
