Kibet Model 1289

The Kibet Model 1289 is a smoothbore, muzzleloading bronze field gun used by the Khahlanong Imperial Army in the late 1200s and early 1300s. Most Umbraki and Jiderani nations of the time used similar pieces.   Considered a light gun, the Model 1289 mounts on a two-wheeled artillery carriage (2600 lbs. with gun). This hooks up behind a two-wheeled limber (1380 lbs.), which is drawn by six horses. The limber holds the ammo chest, with 32 rounds, friction primers, and 6' of slow-match fuse. The mount has limited elevation and thus range; the cannon's theoretical maximum range is 3100 yards. The standard crew is seven.   Besides iron balls, the Model 1289 fires LE, shrapnel, and canister rounds.
