Jili-Ball
Jili-Balls were a variety of hollow-based ammunition, developed in Khahlanong Hlusa Mfa in 1263, that expanded in the barrel of a gun when fired. This allowed them to be smaller than the barrel of the weapon they were produced for, making for easier reloading. When the gun was fired, the force of the gunpowder ignition would expand to grip the rifling grooves and seal the barrel.
They became the standard variety of ammunition for rifles until rifles using cartridge ammunition became widespread in the early 1300s.
