Fskeki
The Republic of Fskeki is the oldest republic in Jideran. The monarchy of Fskeki was overthrown by a serf rebellion in 1057 CE and has survived numerous attempts by neighboring countries to bring the upstart serfs under control.
Now, Fskeki is organized as a federated republic. The country is divided into several provinces ,which themselves are divided into communes of varying sizes based on geography and population. Communes manage local affairs as they please and send delegates to the provincial council. Each province also sends delegates to the Council of Fskeki.
Fskeki has managed to remain independent by virtue of its separation from the rest of Jideran by the Tsizikh Mountains to the northeast and water in all other directions, as well as a fierce determination to remain free.
