The Khadisar Empire

Era beginning/end

The Khadisar Empire dominated the cultural sphere of Karrah for nearly a whole millennia. The advancement of mathematics under their reign was accelerated substantially.

Unfortunately, the Khadisar were often led by cruel leaders, who made it a point to enslave many other races, and granted freedom to only a few that were able to manipulate magic. This restriction to a limited sect of people also meant that a lot of the techniques discovered were lost to time.

The Khaladim were the elite Shedari magewrights that helped establish this dominance. They developed automatons that could quell slave rebellions with little effort under foot and claw. They locked their secrets up in ancient tombs alongside their felid masters.

Eventually, civil unrest reached a boiling point, though, thanks to corruption and erosion of beliefs in the social contract. Many small nations eventually rallied against the Khadisar and deposed them, sacking many of the temples, looting them of their spoils, often the riches stolen from the conquered peoples.
