The Tallgrass

  The Tallgrass is a blanket term for the biome that encompasses a number of various savannas that have come to be over the rapid transformation that the planet experienced after the second shockwave from the Cataclysm. It's very difficult to tell what is lurking midst the grass, so travelling through it is exceptionally treacherous on foot. Food is rather scarce in this region and so is arable land because of how dry it generally is. There are some flooded Tallgrass regions but that is the exception rather than the norm.  

Features

  L'Ariege   A large river mainstem, served by several tributaries that has carved a path out into the Southern Ocean and had some settlements along its edges. It crosses through multiple biomes but mostly a flooded savanna region in The Tallgrass.

Major Settlements

  Les Vestiges d'Esparron   The city of Esparron was one of the major metropolitan areas of the Westlands on Jazirah. Like Annecy, it was taken over by monsters after the Cataclysm. Esparron was home to some very advanced medical research laboratories at the time with a cooperative effort between several nations and species.   Manosque   Manosque is one of the few surviving settlements in The Westlands, generally the first stop before travelling into the interior of the continent. Its proximity to water makes it an ideal location to recuperate before venturing forth.
