The Walking City of Gerbera

Gerbera

The Walking City of Gerbera is one of the many Walking Cities. It is one of the smaller cities, having been created relatively recently. It is broken into four distinct layers with each inner layer having a higher elevation than the last.

Farming District

A sparsely populated farmland with the occasional windmill (as well as abandoned and haunted windmills). It also has the lowest tier of prison, containing Cityfolk who have committed petty crimes such as stealing, public drunkenness, and adultery. The eight dwarven farmer families of the land, Boggis, Bunce, Bean, Bolger, Brandy, Brom, Biggums, and Bark have been arguing over the best way to farm the land for generations, each family taking a different approach.

Business District

Here, humans and tieflings have been the dominant races, forming business alliances, corporations, and gangs to run the bustling streets. Since race has played such a big role in the business world, those associated with tiefling always wear red and those associated with humans always wear blue. Unfortunately, this has caused a fair number of business-related altercations as the groups attempt to expand while preventing the other group's expansion. Thanks to all of the rapid expansion, planning was not always considered and sometimes buildings would begin to loop back on themselves or cut off other projects. This area boasts the majority of the markets and law firms in the city.   There also seems to be some sort of... giant hole in the city?

Elustra Plaza and The Mote

The royal gnomes and dragonborn of the city live in the Palace Elustra with their handmaid and butlers residing in the nearby "Helper Hotels." Only those with express permission from a royal may pass The Mote, a large expanse of water home to two massive sea serpents, Malzrak and Malzrok. There are four bridges from the business district to the Elustra Plaza, each heavily guarded by warforged soldiers.
