You draw the life force from a creature within range, sapping its vitality and slowing its movement. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d4 Necrotic damage and 1d4 Poison damage and has the Slowed condition for the duration.
For the duration, the target makes a Constitution saving throw at the end of each of its turns. On a failed save, it takes the Necrotic and Poison damage again. On a successful save, the spell ends.
Using Higher-Level Spell Slot. The Necrotic and Poison damage increases by 1d6 for each spell slot level above 1.
