Possessed
Your body is controlled by another creature that has entered you (the possessor):
- Incapacitated. You have the Incapacitated condition and lose control of your body, remaining dimly aware.
- Targeting. The possessor disappears into your body and can’t be targeted by attacks, spells, or other effects except those that specifically target its creature type. Attacks and effects otherwise target you, and damage and conditions apply to you.
- Control. The possessor controls your movement, actions, speech, and reactions. It has access to your equipment and to all of your traits and features, and it knows how to use them.
- Game Statistics. The possessor keeps its own statistics (features, senses, save DCs, spellcasting, etc.) but uses your Speed and your Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution modifiers for any checks, saves, and attacks using those abilities. The possessor retains all its proficiencies and also gains yours; for any overlap, use the higher bonus.
- Ending the Condition. The possession ends if the possessor leaves your body as a Bonus Action, unless otherwise stated, or if you are reduced to 0 hit points. When it ends, the possessor appears in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of you, and you are immune to that creature’s Possession for 24 hours.
