You trace a lattice of runes around a creature, tuning their aura to shunt away hostile magic. Until the spell ends, the target has Advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Additionally, when the target takes damage from a spell or other magical effect, you can use your Reaction to flare the ward, reducing that damage by 1d8 + your spellcasting ability modifier.
Using Higher-Level Spell Slot. The damage reduction increases by 1d8 for each spell slot level above 3.
