You conjure a raging storm of elemental energy in a 20-foot-radius, 60-foot-tall Cylinder centered on a point you can see within range. The area becomes infused with raw elemental power, lashing out at any creature that dares to step inside.
When a creature enters the area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it must make a saving throw based on the chosen damage type. On a failed save, the creature takes 5d8 damage of the selected type and suffers an additional effect:
Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The initial damage increases by 1d8 for each spell slot level above 5.
