You sketch a tiny asterism in the air and snap it onto a creature you can see within range, marking it with a shifting pattern of stars orbiting the target. Choose Radiant or Psychic when you cast this spell. Until the end of your next turn, the next time you or another creature hits the marked creature with an attack, that marked creature takes 1d4 damage of the chosen type, and the mark then fades. If no creature hits the target before the end of your next turn, the mark fades harmlessly. While the mark persists, the target cannot benefit from the Invisible condition and you know the direction to the target as long as it is on the same plane of existence as you. Cantrip Upgrade. The damage increases by 1d4 when you reach levels 5 (2d4), 11 (3d4), and 17 (4d4).
