You hurl a dark star that carves a screaming path across the battlefield, trailing black fire 100-foot-long, 5-foot-wide Line. Each creature in the Line must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 4d6 Fire damage and 4d6 Necrotic damage and becomes Burning (2d4 Fire) on a failed save. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and does not become Burning.
The ground (or surfaces) along the Line smolder with black embers until the start of your next turn. This area is Difficult Terrain. The first time on a turn that a creature enters a space in the Line or starts its turn there, it must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d6 Fire damage and 1d6 Necrotic damage and become Burning (1d4 Fire).
Using Higher-Level Spell Slot. The initial damage increases by 1d6 for each spell slot level above 4.
