Solumites
Solumites are among the strongest and most numerous half-blood ethnicities in the world. They were most numerous in the west. Their culture called for ritualized wars, which very oftenly got out of hand. They believe competition is a spiritual responsibility and failiure is important to grow.
Solumites were formed because of habbits. In the west, some shamans started to attract people whom they'd lead. This people started to develop customs according to shamans habbits. After thousands of years, their genetic structure and dna footprint started to reshape into a specific ethnicity, ere the solumites were born.
Solumites lived with humans, but wouldn't value them so much. Being a human in Solumite dominated places were hard. Daily life demands them to develop many skills and harden them. However, surviving humans(Whether be slaves or members) became very valuable and respected by rest of the world.
Solumites are considered strange to the rest of the world(except Naisha). Their customs make them more ascetic, animalistic and primal which they take pride from. There is a saying at the rest of the world ''It is impossible to offend a Solumite.'' This is because of the pride and confidence of their ethnicity.
Solumites daily lives are extremely active, tiring and risky. This caused solumite dominated settlements to be somewhat isolated. Yet they're very welcoming to strangers because of the new challenges they might bring.
Solumites have good relations with Nomad Proteans because of their lifestyles. Solumite shamans can have relationships with Proto-proteans, however their contacts are indirect and vague.
Solumites compete with south Afrikans, because of the similarity of cultures. Yet they have mutual respect as enemies. The greatest rival they have are Aqumites. Because of their differences in philosophy and lifestyles. However, they don't get into wars(especially in places like Naisha, Drina and Magalia) and mostly be expected to tolerate each other.
In battles between Western States, Skanan's cause more enmity because of the grandmasters(which was Aqumine dominated). Skanan's believed that making peace between two ethnicities would result in both ethnicities winning, which proved problematic in the west.
Solumites doesn't discuss or talk about Stellarch. Outsiders assume that they mostly doesn't like Stellarch. Stellarch doesn't have an exact place in their culture but it is not a taboo not being thankful to Stellarch.
Solumite will survive the fall of Equine.
Culture
Culture and cultural heritage
Solumites had a culture of competition. They'd very usually compete someone else on their own strength and the winner would have a responsibility of sharing their knowledge. Beyond this, they might compete in other things as well.
They also had foraging and hunting culture. They'd sow gardens and crops but prefer to forage and hunt. If the foraging was enough to feed settlements, they wouldn't harvest their crops.
Shared customary codes and values
Solumites had a different attitude towards Nature, which would compete with Aqumite definition.
''What comes next, must be better than before. May nature be our parent, it doesn't change what it is; An opponent... An opponent of power. We don't yield to its power but respect it, as it respects ours. But we must rebel to it, like a teenager who rebel to its parents. We must do so, without hurting it, while honoring it, in our own ways... Nature is our ancestor and to make it proud, we must be stronger. Only then we can expect from our children what we accomplished.''
This approach to nature, effected the alchemists.
Average technological level
Advance in occupational alchemy, but they didn't formed companies. Instead they built partnerships who would help others if need be. They wouldn't have offices or standart practises. Compared to east, their average skill was higher, but amount of alchemists were lower. Their interpretation was called Natural Alchemy(They didn't discover new methods like Insanites, but teach a combination of method which was from every other classes)
There were very capable wordalchemists, but would be very carefull with it and would only allow a master and an apprentice in settlements. Independent wordalchemists were frowned upon.
Solumite shamans were famous for their alchemy abilities. They could be very capable at Warchemy(War alchemy) and JindAlchemy(Meditational alchemy), which they'd consider two to be one. They name this Hunters Dower.
Common Etiquette rules
If someone is not very familiar with someone else, everything they do could turn into competition(From eating, to hunting, to working). If someone refuses to compete with a stranger, that might mean they are interested or attracted to others.
Common Dress code
They'd wear smaller dresses. Shorts, skirts, small tshirts... Light green means, they are or want to be alchemists, brown means they're physically adept, white means they're shamans or something as such.
Shamans would wear cloths and capes.
Art & Architecture
Their cities would resemble trees, with uneven and veiny looking structures. They wouldn't built them very tall and try to make every building original. They also tend to build complex caves under ground, under hills or under mountains. This made them a bit weaker in architecture, but they were very capable artists. They'd build shrines out of the bones of what they hunt and special kinds of trees.
Common Customs, traditions and rituals
They would bond with sunseekers time to time and hunt with them. Very rarely, sunseekers would accept one to their pack.
Acceptance Rite: If one believes themselves to be weaker then specific other, they'd offer their best fruit or meat to that person, which indicates their desire to be trained by this person. If the other accepts the offer, that means they accepted the other as an apprentice.
Purification Ritual: They'd believe that rain purified them, so when rained Solumites would stand under it for hours at a time. Rain is a time of peace. There are instances which battles were ended by the beginning of rain.
Earth Ritual: Time to time they'd cover their bodies with soil and meditate in forests. They believed this would connect them to nature and past. If one wishes to be connected with someone specific, they'd cover themselves with soil from their grave or place of their death.
Coming of Age Rites
The rite of passage was about bonding with an animal. They believed, they couldn't compete againsts nature unless they learn about their past and animals are the best teachers. So in order to reach adulthood, one had to get into forests, bond with predator, hunt with them and come back to their settlement with their hunts. This could take years.
Funerary and Memorial customs
They believed death and funerals were an indiviual right. They wouldn't have large funeral ceremonies and mostly family or friends of someone would be responsible for burrying them. Ideal death was choosen by the person. Someone who knows that they're about to die, would go to a location of their choosing and wait for death in there.
