Afrika
Afrikan's had a very distinct culture compared to the rest of the world, it also had the most naturaly occuring alchemy supplies in the world. By its history, Afrikan's had the understanding of might makes right. This understanding, benefited them greatly when they were formed as a loose tribal country who warred in ritualistic fashions.
They used to fight with chants, intimidation and mutual respect. If someone were to die at a battle, their killer was tasked to hold a funeral for them. Winners, never raided the settlements and killed innocents. Until Pagana of Endegrals, who changed the meaning of battle in the country and conquered the whole continent. Yet once the war was done, he ruled peacefully.
The change in the tactics and forms of war, didn't changed their understanding of might makes right. Which resulted on Pagana's predecessor Reqyav of Beertha to start an offensive war, called Money Wars which Afrika couldn't win. Against Drinan Grandmasters and masters, Nathain VoidWalkers and alchemists, Magalian riders and Nomads, Afrikan troops were crushed. This result made the Afrkian's understand that they were not the greatest force in the world.
This defeat, caused a civil war, which resulted in Afrika taking it's final form within this era.
Norikan Empire: Northern part of Afrika. It's culture is a blend of Afrikan and western Stellan culture. Very dependant on trade and very stable. Afrikan's rule most of the country under a relatively low authority emperor. Westerners stops and evades any event which might distrupt the trade. Norikan empire is very open to outsiders. They are very advanced in alchemy, thanks to it's history and by the support of western Shamans. Their armies are trained by outsiders.
Heeqia Kingdom: Are the cold, closed and warlike counter of Norikan empire. They are ruled by a dynastical god king whoms authority is absolute. They are ruled with tribal customs and zealously follow Might makes right understanding. Every warrior in their kingdom is expected to be the best warrior in the kingdom. They are extremely slow to trust outsiders but once they accepted them, they are some of the most hospitable people in the world. They also know some secret alchemy techniques and preserve them very carefuly. Yet Naishan Alchemy academy have an agreement with Heeqia Kingdom to share secret techniques.
Barqaqians: Are the nomads horde living in central Afrika, named Barqaqians by other Afrikan states, they are one of the most distinct nomad hordes in the world. What makes them different is their territory being defined in political maps and their less frequent travel habbits. Barqaqian Nomads are also very protective of their territory.
Traversing in Afrika can be dangerous. Both the animals and unexpected encounters could be positive or negative. But open country means danger in most cases.
Geography
Afrika is one of the warmest and most humid place in the world. In original, it's filled with savannah's and desert. The alchemical alterations added some jungles and swamps in very rare instances.
Afrika is similar of northern Stella in terms of distribution of uneven terrain. It is mostly open plains yet has high amount of mountains. Yet they don't block any path but prolongs it. Vast open and even terrains makes the area very eligable for agriculture and forestry. Yet for locals, it never became a concern to build trees and farms like Xeanites.
Countries edges are the most green areas, filled with endless trees of many specie. As one travels to its center, area becomes more dry and desert like. Yet the vast amount of water streams, leaves only some places as deserts. longest and widest river in Afrika is Ryqaqia river, it begins at north to south and traverses through almost all of the continent. It also feeds Barqaqia, Tyqaqia, Oqia rivers.
Ecosystem
Afrika of world of Equine is very much like Africa of real world. Filled with Apes, Elephants, felines and rhinos... Their numbers are extremely high compared to the real world, because of an Afrikan traditions which helps these animals to procreate more. The most famous added types are Bone hyena, Trader monkey and Poison badger.
Bone Hyena: Is a large type of Hyena which lives by itself and on average is as large as a lion. They hunt once in a week and eats every part of their preys, even to their bones. Their senses are more advance than many other animals, which stops them to attack human and proteans. Some great warriors, domesticate them to fight in their side, but it is considered to be cruel by most. Bone hyenas are common. They mostly live in a territory which they don't wander too far off.
Trader Monkey: Are a type of monkey which some of them lives around human and protean species, including in their society. They develop barter systems which they use to purchase various services or goods from each other and Afrikan cities. They know what other species considered valuable and mostly built pouches to carry what they gathered from around. They travel in packs. In terms of look, they are very similar to Vervet monkey, but their pelt colors change from area to area. Trader Monkey's is one of the most common animal in Afrika. They are vegetarians.
Poison Badgers: Are the most dangerous type of animal living in Afrika. Their tails, shoots poison darts which could kill even bone hyenas if pierced their pelt. They are only a bit larger than honey badgers, but their skins are harder to pierce. They feed on all types of food but prefer to eat snakes, rodents and fruits. Their poison is so strong that it can paralyze king cobras. They are extremely protective of their burrows which they built. They can't be domesticated and doesn't fear anything. It might attack anything which it considered to be a threat.
Ecosystem Cycles
Permanent summer in Afrika makes it very predictable and mundane.
The travelling through the continent is less than real world among animals because of the giant rivers and availibility of food and water through the continent.
Localized Phenomena
Dents Castle: In the surrounding area of the castle, lies a giant are of CratStone. This is a kind of a stone, which if touched it paralyzes for 1 hour to a week(depending on the constitution). One can naturally develop immunity or can be given a special kind of brew which develops it faster. Riga Dent of Doridora has constructed(alchemically) the structure but was captured by Dyt of Vanians. It is under Heeqia kingdom.
Chackas Swamp: It was a half sentient swamp, travelling through the contient in a very slow motion. It is said, Chacka divided her counscience and half she kept, half she placed in a cattail flower, it grew and became a swamp of endless dept, cumbered or captured whoever passing. When Chacka was killed, she became the swamp. Looking for peace, it hid in a solitary edge of the continent. Some say if found, one can speak to what remained from Chacka.
Fauna & Flora
Tens of savvanah, equatorial, tropical plants lifes. Also all animalls Africa had in real life lived on it plus couple more unknown types.
Natural Resources
Afrika had the highest amount of StemStone in the world.
It had all the kind of alchemical stones and metals on its lands. It also housed, many unknown alchemical plants.
Gold, silver, diamonds, copper, tin, salt and many other scientific materials.
History
Afrika was a relatively altered continent consisting of virtually isolated culture. Once filled with independent tribes, often warring each other in small scales, it was united by Chief Paqana of Endegrals into one of the most formidable and advanced empire in the world of equine. But, after his passing, the mismanagement of administrators, failiure to suceed into Paqana's choosen sucessor(Sunjata of Heqia) and ambitious blood thirst of the usurper Reqyav of Beertha caused it to enter into an offensive war against Tiana in order to control the economy of Tiana. Called Money wars, it was intervened by Naishan's, Magalians and Drinnans, who had an interest in the Tianan market, Tiana's economy acted as a bridge between these super powers. The combined armies defeated the Afrikans, which in turn triggered a period of civil war in Afrika.
During this period Afrika's landscape was altered, mostly for strategic reasons, sometimes for political reasons. The availibility of natural alchemy resources in it's vast lands, made this easy. Yet it also caused the civil war to rise in tension by every passing year, it tore the country so much that westerners find an opportunity which allowed them to take over the some northern parts of the continent, which defined the factions of the civil war; Norherners, who sided with westerners who wanted Afrikan resources and people to mingle with other cultures and southerners, who refused to cooperate with outsiders. In time, southerners started to see norherners as outsiders and considered almost every outsider to be the enemy. They became more isolated and warlike.
During the Money Wars, in order to reach Tiana, the Afrikan armies had ignored the land treaty of Yvina. At that time, Yvina was in a succession crisis. Yvinan's considered themselves to be akin to Afrikans and had a conjoined market which benefited both parties greatly. In order to end Afrikan civil war, they tasked a brilliant diplomat named Ina Gerag to find a solution. She travelled to Magalia and offered a solution to disputing Nomad population in the area; She offered one of the parties to settle in Afrikan soil and offered them safe passage through Yvina and rebuilding Tiana. They agreed and about 400.000 Nomads followed Ina into Afrikan continents center, where they claimed the part of the land, acting as a buffer zone for two faction.
The factions were intimidated. Some local groups tried to attack the Nomads, but were soundly defeated by parties who organized in a fashion which Afrikan's have never encountered. As time passed locals started to accept Nomads into their societies and recognised the horde. The civil war was ended with the Treaty of Three.
Threaty of three: Recognised there are three independent settled lands in the Afrikan continent. Northerners, called Norikan Empire. Southerners, called Heqia kingdom and central nomad state, called Barqaqians, which became the only nomad horde who had a defined frontier in the world.
Tourism
Afrika is a dangerous place to visit. But also, is a popular destination for company ventures. Southern side of the continent is especially more dangerous to the outsiders, northern size has less opportunities, because of westerners, yet some parts were still unexplored. At the Barqaqia, almost all lands were explored.
Norika was well organised and known but some places were still unexplored.
Heeqia had the most unexplored lands in Afrika.
