Tiefling
Tieflings are hybrid beings born of the material plane with the blood of creatures from either the Nine Hells or the Abyss. Their infernal or abyssal blood warps their physical appearance, making them seem more akin to the devil or demon whose blood flows through their veins, and giving them fiendish power. There are a wide variety of tieflings, and they can come into being a few different ways. The first of these is through normal means of reproduction, between a human and a fiend. The second is through bargains made between a fiend and the eventual parent of a tiefling - often, bargains made with mortals will result in that mortal's progeny having a chance to become a tiefling. Third, some rituals exist that can transform a mortal with no celestial blood into a tiefling, though these rituals are heavily guarded secrets and often considered tabboo. Lastly, the children of tieflings are often also tieflings, though such children will often appear slightly less fiendish if their other parent is a mortal.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The appearances of tieflings vary widely based on the devil or demon to whom they are related, though one thing is consistent between all tieflings (with the exception of tieflings of Accar), that being that their eyes have no pupil or iris, instead being a single colour - though what this colour is depends on their fiendish legacy. Aside from this, tieflings can have humanoid or hooved legs, can have or be devoid of a tail, horns, or wings, can have a large variety of skin and hair colours, and can sometimes be missing certain facial features, in the case of tieflings of Accar.
Growth Rate & Stages
Tieflings have a slightly expanded lifespan compared to humans or most other humanoids, tending to live around 100-120 years old. They mature at the same rate as humans, reaching maturity around 18-20.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Tieflings often have a few magical abilities, due to their fiendish blood. These abilities range from limited spellcasting to increased resilience against death, depending on their legacy.
Civilization and Culture
Naming Traditions
While tieflings' names tend to follow the naming traditions of the communities which they were born into, some tieflings also choose to take what are known as virtue names. These names are words such as Penance, Destiny, Hope, Revenge, Havoc, or Melody, and describe an ideal or goal that the tiefling has and wishes to follow or fulfill.

Tieflings of Enir, the archdevil of revenge, tend to have darker hair and look much more humanoid, with many appearing more akin to aasimar than anything else. Their eyes are white or light grey.Fyr'tel

Their eyes can be shades of red, orange, yellow, or pink.Gidarr

Tieflings of Nethyr have skin tones ranging from usual shades to various shades of red, tending towards the pinker side rather than the more orange reds. They always have some kind of horns, though the number and type of horns can vary. Almost all tieflings of Nethyr have yellow eyes, though they can also have orange, red, grey, black, or white eyes as well.Nudimir

Tieflings of Ssarahas have skin tones closer to greys, or desaturated blues and reds, with somewhat skeletal appearances. They tend to have hooved legs, white or grey hair, and horns as well. They are resistant to cold damage rather than the typical fire damage, as the seventh hell is a cold and frostbitten expanse.Thudar

Tieflings of Wrinyth have the ability to climb on vertical surfaces or upside-down on ceilings, and have the ability to cast the Web spell.Zaldir
Tieflings of Zaldir are not able to be conceived through normal means, due to Zaldir being trapped in the ninth hell unable to move. Instead, they are formed through deals that Zaldir makes with mortals, granting their wishes in exchange for them agreeing to have his children, whom he is later able to watch through the eyes of and speak telepathically to, if he so wishes. Additionally, he may make deals with his tieflings to obtain temporary control over their bodies, allowing him to exert his will over the material plane without actually moving out of the ninth hell.Zyenar
Tieflings of Zyenar have black or dark grey skin, with horns and large (generally black) wings, tending to have clawed fingers. Their eyes range from shades of grey to sometimes shades of blue.Accar
Tieflings of Accar have greyish skin tones, with large horns and a lack of immediately visible facial features. They do have mouths, though when closed their mouths are not visible, as the skin over them fuses together with closed. When they open their mouths to speak, however, they are able to talk normally, though the skin still remains somewhat stuck together, spreading over the mouth similar to how adhesive appears when pulled apart. Tieflings of Accar do not have eyes, and are unable to see, instead using other methods to perceive the world around them, having blindsight to a certain extent that can improve with practice. They also have hooved feet.Maris
Tieflings of Maris have inhumanly pale skin, with sharp, bloody teeth and red eyes. They tend to have clawed fingers and appear malnourished and sickly in form, no matter how healthy or strong they actually are.Orkothus
