Those who call Stormspire home are a diverse group as many family can trace there reason for being born in stormspire to a family pilgrimage at some point in their past.

The rules and laws of the stormspire are drafted and created by the clerics of the citadel.While the lifeblood and true money making power of stormspire lies in its ferry industry,as well as its massive marrina that allows a vast amount of imports.

The Stormspire's greatest threat comes from the sea,and the constant barrage of storms that come along with living near it.the first thing built to defend this was a series of primary channels for storm surges to rush through instead of over the city streets.next a set of massive secondary canals were dug,these dammed by massive stormgates,that are routinely neglected in poorer,or less religious parts of town,due to leadership prejudice.parts of town with worn or destroyed storm gates tend to have more water on the ground,or are entirely flooded.lastly,the Stormspire citadel itself was constructed,sitting atop it the ancient bell of th sun,an enchanted bell that helps to stave of the storms from the clouds themselves.this relationship was balanced at the time of creation,but in current times the stormasons work in service to the stormspire clerics.stormspire guards take a part of an oath to form a militia in times of war against the city.the militia has not been called on in ages and is not seen as much of a fighting force anymore.

The city's main source of income is from exporting and remarketing sale taken from the ferry,or buy item sold from cargo brought in back from the dock,to be sold to the exporters.sarthratanus is large enough to sustain a metropolitan type infrastructure that allows many of it's citizens to pursue a path of opening their own business. the dock hauling in large games whales and fish that swim in the teeming isles to be sold to the exporters and served as fine food in sarthratanus. the easternmost and less densely populated areas of stormspire are home to fertile lands that grow a myriad of vegetables and grains.The lands are owns and operated by loyal servants of the citadel but are subject to routine shakes downs and protection rackets due to being so far away from they spire itself.

The Stormspire was carved out of the massive cliffs of the coast the ancients it lies upon. The original founders,a guild of stormasons,and a fellowship of sun worshippers,are said to have founded the city,and built the citadel as well as the massive stormgates and storm channeles that alow the city to function of the constant battering storms it endurs.

The city of stormspire is teeming with to many stores and shops and stalls to list.

The worshippers of the sun and archbishop tyrus lightsworn are the ones charged with making law and rule in the city,aswell as deciding how funds are dispersed and maintained,what projects are completed ,ect.. The Storm masons long ago had equal power with the citadel,but in more recent times it struggles to compete with the free market in which it sits,and thus relies on the citadel for projects to fund its organisation. A small group of traders and markets have begun funding garrisons and guards outposts in the south eastern parts of the city.few know about these shady benefactors but those who call this area of the cirt home find them to be heros,while villainizing the clerics of the citadel.

The city of stormspire was founded by two large bands of exiles,that came together to survive the first years of the last dawn.The First followers of the sun,and the Stormasons were exiled from their home lands in 915PD The Followers,in fact were not exiled,but said they were following a vision,the first pilgrimage to the storm spire.Somewhere along the way the followers of the sun ran into the more deliberately exiled Stormasons.The masons were exiled for reasons they at first did not tell the followers,but after sometime,they confess their wrong doings to the sun worshippers,in hopes of being forgiven for their crimes.The original Stormason were exiled for their fanatical pursuit of their ancient religion.After confessing,and being forgiven by The followers,while not fully converted,agreed to help them pursue their vision,As pilgrimage was just as sacred to them.Upon arriving at the place the sun lead them,tin front of them stood a massive set of rocky crags and spires,plagued by a perpetual system of thunderstorms an calling self home to a storm tempest itself.The Stormasons were enraged by this,how could the god of the sun lead these people to such certain death,but then as all look lost for the exiled and the followers,The followers banished the storms,and sent the tempest back into the darkness forever.This was enough for the Stormason to fully convert to the way of the sun the the followers had preached so much about,while never casting off there titles as Stormasons,they constructed the holy structure that stands,and the majority of the city itself.For a time,as many storm guards walked the western side of the city as paladins of the light on th east,but over time,and in present day,then guard has diminished greatly.

The typical rule of thumb in Stormspire,is that if its older,its more finley made,as the descendants of the storm masons unfortunately,became more thinly spread over time,and unable to build as many of the buildings structures.The most beautiful and well maintained buildings in the city are of course the religious ones,the stormspire citadel itself receiving the highest amount of maintenance.Overtime many more privately made structures have been made in what once felt like the Stormasons territory.

The city it self sits on a semi level plain that was cut from the cliff as high as possible to avoid flooding,the Stormspire is carved from a massive stone stalagmite that was left behind in the process of making a livable space for the original settlers of the city.The weather is a constant battle against the city's infrastructure as systems of varying thunderstorms constantly batter the city,as it sits almost directly on the coastline.

The city itself has long been quarried of its natural resources,while a few mines still exist within the city's limits.it's only true "natural" resources would consist of its lively fishing community as well as its ability to export and trade.
