Weeping Wristlet
Wondrous, very rare (requires attunement)
The Weeping Wristlet is an ivory bracelet in the shape of an acrobat bent backwards so his wrists are tied to his ankles. While attuned to the Weeping Wristlet, you may cast polymorph on yourself without expending a spell slot. For GM Eyes Only

Curse. The Weeping Wristlet is one of the thirteen unique Graven Rings. Like the others in the set, it bears a terrible curse.
This bracelet is cursed. This fact is not revealed by the detect magic or identify spells. Identifying the wristlet reveals it to be a Bracelet of Polymorph. Attuning to the wristlet curses you until special removal requirements are met. While cursed, the item cannot be removed or unattuned.
When you cast polymorph using the Weeping Wristlet the transformation becomes permanent. The change is immediate and violent, as you are reshaped into a monstrous version of the chosen creature. The shift tears your flesh and cracks your bones. Once finished your new body constantly weeps blood, sweat, or tears. The wristlet, like the rest of your equipment, becomes part of the new form.
While under this curse you are immune to any effect that would alter your form. The transformation cannot be ended by any means short of the curse’s special removal requirements.
Removal Requirements. This curse can only be broken if you are reduced to 0 hit points and a remove curse spell is cast upon you while you are unconscious. If this occurs you change back to your original form in the same painful manner.
If you die before a remove curse spell can be cast upon you, the transformation becomes permanent and the attunement to the wristlet ends. Spells such as reincarnate or resurrection will no longer alter you or revert your body to its original form.
History. The Weeping Wristlet is one of the few rings not brought to the first meeting by its rightful owner, stolen the night of the Curse Carrier ritual. The thief’s name is lost to record, though their body was found unrecognizable.
The bracelet belonged to the impostor Gravens. The origins trace back to the elves of Dendenwine and a stolen arcane collection. The imposters used a number of these wristlets to assume new forms during their rise to power. The version used in the ritual was recovered later, differing from the known copies in one detail: the carved acrobat weeps.
The Weeping Wristlet has been recovered only a few times, each from within the body of a transformed creature. Any other equipment found nearby is usually damaged beyond use or fused with the corpse. Where the rest of the bearer’s possessions go remains uncertain.
Two other uncursed identical bracelets rest in the vaults of the Arcane Collective.
