Daydream Catcher
Wondrous, very rare
This spider-shaped dreamcatcher is woven of black silk and silver thread. Its center is empty, as if something has torn through the web. While the Daydream Catcher hangs within 5 feet of a sleeping creature, that creature can cast the dream spell once during its sleep, using Wisdom as the spellcasting ability. Only one creature may benefit from this each night. For GM Eyes Only

Curse. The Daydream Catcher is one of the thirteen unique Graven Rings. Like the others in the set, it bears a terrible curse.
This dreamcatcher is cursed. This fact is not revealed by the detect magic or identify spells.
Each time a creature sleeps within 5 feet of the Daydream Catcher, it must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is trapped in a nightmare and becomes paralyzed for the duration of its sleep. The creature gains the benefits of a long rest but also gains one level of exhaustion as if it had not rested.
Once a creature fails this saving throw, the curse takes hold. The nightmares return every time the creature attempts a long rest, regardless of distance from the Daydream Catcher. This continues until the curse is lifted.
A cursed creature feels a constant unease when apart from the dreamcatcher.
Removal Requirements. The curse can only be lifted when the Daydream Catcher is passed to another creature without that creature’s knowledge.
If a sleeping creature completes a full night’s rest within 5 feet of the Daydream Catcher, that creature must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or become cursed. When this occurs, the previous bearer is immediately freed.
History. The true origin of the Daydream Catcher remains uncertain. What is known begins after the dismantling of the Curse Carrier, when scattered fragments of the Graven Rings resurfaced.
In the records that follow, every account of the catcher speaks of webs spun across the sleeping mind and of spiders whispering at the edge of consciousness. The afflicted often describe a slow unraveling of thought, as if their dreams were being fed upon.
