The Order of Ash
The Order of Ash is a prominent religious faction dedicated to worshiping a deity known as the Flamebearer. The Flamebearer is believed to be a powerful being who embodies the elements of fire, light, and purification. Each Temple of the Flamebearer is led by a Flamekeeper, who serves as the head of the temple and is responsible for guiding its members in their devotion to the Flamebearer.
Members of the Order of Ash are recognized by their distinctive ash-grey robes, adorned with intricate patterns and symbols representing the Flamebearer's teachings. They are known for their mastery of fire-based Arcana, which they use to carry out their duties within the faction and to protect the city from threats.
The Order of Ash plays an essential role in spiritual and social life. They are responsible for conducting important rituals and ceremonies, such as weddings, funerals, and blessings, where their influence reaches. They also support and guide citizens in need and offer shelter and aid to those displaced or harmed by disasters.
Despite their prominence, the Order of Ash is not without its critics. Some accuse the faction of being too rigid and dogmatic in its beliefs and of using its power to control the population. Others fear the destructive potential of the faction's fire-based Arcana and worry that the Order of Ash may one day threaten the free people.
