A city of fear
Canterbury is the home of the brigade of iron and Gruaghlothor the Iron baron. It is a military city and it is constantly on edge.
The iron drakes pride themselves on espionage and are constantly paranoid that they will be infiltrated.
Entrance to the city is highly regulated and the state has it's own internal police force called the "The Iron Cross" - which gets it's own citizens to report suspicious activity.
Everything in the city feeds the brigade - there are precious few 'civilian' areas of the city and anyone from the outside must be escorted at all times by a member of the brigade.
