Relics of the Immortal Beings

The items are believed to be powerful objects that the Immortal Beings would wield. The objects themselves are books filled with powerful spells and magic.   Each book powers it's tower and holds the spells necessary to build or rebuild a world. Each of the Eight Immortal Beings used their books to create and moderate life upon the world, until they had to use up their life forces to banish the Dragons and Drachronos; so that the rest of the world could prosper without living under the cruel rule of the Drachronos.   Only a few species on the world have found and reactived the relics. The gnomes have used it to move their tower into the sky to protect is while sharing knowledge granted by the book to their people in the form of Steampunk technology. The elves use their relic to overrun their region with life; which acts as a natural barrier to their enemies. The Magre use their relic for learning powerful and deadly spells, to use against their enemies and rivals. The Shadow use their relic for deception and control, including forcing the Elven, Dwarven, and Gnomish nations into a three way war that has lasted one thousand years. The Drachronos use their relic to sustain their powerful existances, while attempting to reach out to the world below them and alter events to their benefit and hopeful release from banishment.   Currently, the Human/Orc and Magre/Ogre nations have begun seeking out the Earth Tower and it's relic, hoping that it will aid them in the destruction of their enemy.  The Humans were the first to seek out the location, but spies within the Human lands have informed the Ogre nation of this activity, in which the Magre have sent forth forces to acquire the location first.
