Ruins Climes

The refuse of a collapsing culture, ruins afford glimpses into the brilliance of the cultural heights and low points, opportunities to recover at least the vestiges of the Great Societies before the Fall.

Archives

From a record store to a computer repair shop, the concept of an archive is a single-type repository of information. Some will be critical, some will be silly... the point is, any information has value in the hands of the right people.

Libraries

From the whimsical to the seriously detailed, libraries are where all forms of information are maintained for public consumption, or by the elites or special interests, depending on the location. Ruins are usually the places people forgot to protect. Did you bring your card? Access is dependent on responsible borrowers, you know.

Museums

Relics and remembrances of the times before, the variety of museums match the marvels of history and the desire of the eclectic to collect them. Some are incredibly useful, and others, well, have a certain attraction for the gullible.

Visitor Centers

Welcome to the past, by way of the present. Left over from a bygone era, a Visitor Center can be a great place to catch up on the local history and even occasionally a useful map. Of course, the locals will be aware of the Visitor Centers nearest them, so they could pose a problem when leaving.

Tourist Traps

The operable word, here, is TRAP. Obviously, not every trap catches its mouse, and there may be useful information and resources in the most obvious of the dangers of the Byways. But this one, far off the beaten path, might actually be useful, this time... maybe.

Fuel Stations

Like picked-over carcasses of the Old Ways, the local gas station, now a ruin, will most likely already be only a husk. But, after all, any port in a storm...right?

Ghost Town

When the last of the Jobs left the area, so did the population. Maybe they moved on toward the next arcology. Maybe they were swallowed up by the raider bands in the area. Still, the empty houses beckon, and a needy Cadre can use any resources they can find, even in such a desolate area.
