Hey come on now, it's me... your Uncle Phil, if you can't trust me, can you trust anyone really?
A comedian from Mississippi who migrated to Mexico City at the end of the Crisis, famous for his "controversial stand-up." Appeared on countless Telenovelas playing the same character: a US Uncle who made it rich and had come to see his family in Mexico. While never a regular member of any cast, generally regarded for the comedy he usually provided. His most famous role was on "Nuestros maƱanas vienen de una vez" where he had a passionate love affair with aging actress Gloria Estaban. This affair was rumored to be as much on as off camera.
After his "death" on the show, left vague for a return or twist, he tried to run for Municipal President in New Orleans Municipality, and didn't receive even 5% of the vote. However, he seemed to become politically active and fought his way through many campaigns. Some critics of his acting and politics have said his political career is the funniest thing he has ever done.
During the first Pacifica mayoral race, a number of Green Devils stormed the Debate area and opened fire on the candidates. In the resulting gunfight, Avery was the only mayoral candidate to survive, making him the de facto mayor in the election. PCPD cleared him of connection despite such win falls. Avery has proven to be... a Mayor.
He is pro-corporation, which is why they are prominent in the Pacific. Despite the Boom of the economy, later many residents feel his administration is up for bid rather than good policies of the Mayor, though to be fair most of his administration is made up of survivors from the attack on the Mayoral Debate who took the offered jobs from Avery. Avery has attempted to appeal to the people as being a Popular and man of the people, for his Re-election this coming year.
With the Election session just starting, it will be interesting to see who shows up to challenge Avery and how Avery tries to hold on to his title.
