Zelmors Gods
Before Lumis
The Zelmors were deeply religious people, and they believed in a pantheon of four powerful gods who watched over them and guided their destiny. There were four gods in the Zelmors' mythology, each with their own unique domain and personality.
All four of the gods were equally important for the Zelmors, their pantheon included Kraznor, the god of war, Thallos, the god of the wilderness and the hunt, Xandria, the goddess of magic and of the 4 elements and Skolgar, the god of afterlife and of the underworld. Each of these gods played an important role in the Zelmors' lives, and they were often invoked in prayer and ritual.
The Zelmors' relationship with their gods was a complex one. On the one hand, they revered and honored their deities, recognizing their immense power and influence over the world. On the other hand, they were also deeply fearful of their gods, knowing that their wrath could lead to a swift and terrible demise.
As a result, the Zelmors took great care to appease their gods, following strict rituals and prayers in their honor. They also looked to their gods for guidance and wisdom, seeking their favor in times of need and trouble. And though they knew that the gods' will was often inscrutable, they trusted that their deities would always act in the best interests of their people, even when the path ahead was uncertain or dangerous.
After Lumis
When the Zelmors first encountered the Lumis, their beliefs about the universe and their place in it were challenged in profound ways. For one thing, the Lumis possessed a technology and knowledge that was far beyond anything the Zelmors had ever encountered before. This caused many of the Zelmors to question their faith and wonder if their gods were truly all-powerful and all-knowing, as they had always been taught.
As the Zelmors spent more time with the Lumis, however, they began to see that their gods' power and wisdom were not diminished by the Lumis' presence. Instead, they came to understand that the Lumis were simply another manifestation of the divine, with their own unique powers and abilities.
Over time, the Zelmors began to incorporate some of the Lumis' technology and knowledge into their own lives, while still honoring their traditional beliefs and practices. This led to a kind of synthesis between the two cultures, with the Zelmors retaining their core beliefs while also embracing new ideas and ways of thinking.
As a result of this integration, the Zelmors' relationship with their gods evolved in interesting ways. They began to see their deities as more nuanced and complex beings, capable of both benevolence and wrath, and they also began to recognize that the divine could take many different forms, including that of the Lumis.
This realization led to a deeper appreciation for the vastness and complexity of the universe, and for the idea that there were many different paths to understanding the divine. The Zelmors' faith remained strong, but it also became more flexible and open-minded, capable of incorporating new ideas and insights into their worldview.
