The Skitter

The Skitter is a strange little creature that dwells deep in the forests. It is no bigger than a mouse, with a long, slender body covered in soft, fluffy fur that ranges in color from bright pink to neon green. The Skitter is incredibly nimble and quick, able to dart through the trees with ease and disappear into the foliage in an instant. It has large, expressive eyes that seem to change color depending on its mood, and a long, thin tail that it uses to balance as it jumps from branch to branch.   Perhaps the most unusual thing about the Skitter is the fact that it has no visible mouth or nose. Instead, it feeds on the magical energies that permeate the forest, absorbing them through the tiny pores on its skin.   Despite its diminutive size, the Skitter is a fierce defender of its territory, known to emit a powerful, high-pitched screech when threatened that can temporarily stun larger creatures. Its fur also contains a mild hallucinogenic toxin that can disorient predators and give the Skitter a chance to escape.   While the Skitter is not commonly seen, those who have encountered this strange little creature describe it as both adorable and unnerving, with a curious, inquisitive nature and an air of mystery that surrounds it.
