Dosjoryan Calendar System
Overview
Dosjoryans use the same calendar system as their ancestors. However, they reset year one to the time they arrived in Dosjorya. At the beginning of Dosjoryan Tales, the date is early spring 2057.System
Each year is divided into four seasons and begins on the first day of spring. Seasons last three months. A week is seven days long. Dosjoryan historians and writers use the following format when dating documents: MM-DD-YYYY. Most Dosjoryans refer to events in early, mid, or late season and use number of days or weeks from a time to refer to a specific date. As a result, few know the exact date of any given day and some do not even know the date of their birth. Spring, months one through three, is comprised of the months of Tonmar (30 days), Sukemar (31 days), and Bamar (30 days). Summer, months four through six, is comprised of the months of Golikal (30 days), Pikal (31 days), and Junalkal (30 days). Fall, months seven through nine, is comprised of the months of Falmtor (30 days), Retator (31 days), and Esator (30 days). Winter, months ten through twelve, is comprised of the months of Lomyar (30 days), Salbyar (31 days), and Wadyar (31 days).Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
