Roland Oakley

Roland Oakley is the de facto leader of the isolated village of Blackwater , a tough and hardy community on the edge of a treacherous swamp. Roland was born in a small lake village called Drayton, in the region of Haven a few hundred miles southeast of Blackwater, past The Wall . He spent his early life hunting and fishing in the lakes and rivers around his village, honing his skills as a fighter and a survivalist.   Eventually, Roland grew tired of the peaceful life in Drayton and set out on his own, wandering the world and seeking adventure. He spent several years as a member of various adventuring parties, honing his combat skills and learning to work with others. It was during this time that he discovered the village of Blackwater, and he was immediately drawn to its isolated location and tough, self-sufficient community.   Roland quickly earned the respect of the villagers in Blackwater, and he was eventually named the first citizen of the community. He serves as a mediator in disputes, makes decisions for the good of the community, and acts as a representative for Blackwater in dealings with the outside world. His leadership style is pragmatic and no-nonsense, and he is highly focused on the well-being of his community. He is not one to shy away from making tough decisions or taking action when necessary, but he is also fair and just in his dealings with others.   Roland Oakley is a tall, broad-shouldered man with a rugged, weathered face.
