King Edward Horace Eiskalt

From a long line of proud rulers arises King Edward Horace Eiskalt of Calumdor. He wakes from his bedchamber every morning and takes a look across his rule, satisfied with the rapid expansion of Calumdor's borders and strong, secured future his ancestors could have only dreamed of. His only child, Nivus, may be an uneasy heir to this throne, but he knows they will continue the Eiskalt lineage after he passes. His calm, quiet demeanor hides his ambitious and eager goals for Calumdor, as while his father and grandfather sat around happy with the status quo, Prince Edward knew the kingdom could be so much more-- and thus, his rise to power after his father stepped down was met with a rapid period of expansion and advancement for all settlements under Calumdor's banner, old and new. To this day his retinue tell stories of Edward locking himself in his map room and nonsensically talking to himself about the future of Calumdor, only to emerge hours later with matted hair and bags under his eyes. Edward is a well-kept human man who never seems to frown, and rarely seems to smile. He keeps himself no matter the situation, even while everyone around him is freaking out. At battles he is seen sitting atop his horse in his custom-fitted black plate armor, looking out across his army in silence-- knowing their victory is almost guaranteed when bearing the Calumdorian banner. Having never married, Nivus is next in line for the Calumdorian throne. Their mother left two years after Nivus was born, supposedly leaving on the clouds she arrived from. Edward rarely speaks about her, preferring to focus on his only child rather than dwelling on the past.

Born to Horace and Aleih Eiskalt, Edward was their only child, and thus, began his Princely duties at a young age. He became King at age 19 following his Father's decision to step down from the throne, having newly becoming a father just months before-- with the mysterious mother cutting contact with him a few months after he ascended to the throne. He ruled and still rules over Calumdor to this day, having struck a balance between being a single father and managing the kingdom.
