WorldEmber 2024 Homework
Week 1: Pledge Your Goal:
Goal: To create 10,000 words of new world building content. I'm going to have a lot of time this year so hopefully I'll get to 25,000 or maybe even 50,000, not sure about that, but maybe.
Focus: My focus this year is on making some deities and working on elves (the elves never seem to get enough attention from me). Elven deities would be accomplishing both. I also need to finish up the dwarven deities and a few others loose ends as well.
Meta: Is ok for now.
Week 2: Prepare World for New Readers
Homepage: I made the homepage a few years ago when I had first started using world anvil and had never touched it since that time. I never really liked it, but wasn't sure what to put on the page. Just recently I reviewed and added a bit about the world itself or at least what I had hopped to make it in the future. I'm still not compeletely sure about it, but I think it is vastly improved over what it once was. I will have to reassess it in the near future.
Primer: Is ok for now too.
Community Tools: I just use whatever already exists on the worldanvil pages.
CSS Wizardry: I am still learning the how to do most of these. I guess in time I'll eventually learn them.
Week 3: On the Hunt for Inspiration!
Read a book or watch a movie!: No time to read or watch much TV this month but I was able to watch "The Dunwich Horror"
Create a Moodboard: I don't really need a moodboard.
Create or expand your writing playlist: So far, Halloween songs and soon Christmas songs.
Week 4: Harness the Power of Friendship!
Find a Community: Use Discord and co-workers as sounding boards.
Plan your writing schedule: Schedule will basically be after work and mostly on the weekends.
Get some fresh air!: November is always a time when I spend a great deal of it outside getting ready for winter, cleaning up, doing chores, and time in the woods.
