Ekreler
A disease that the affected carries from birth.
Lost Myst in the body will target someone with jhigher myst content, and drain their body.
It's been theorized that gathering a large amount of people with Ekreler could be gathered, seperated, and unleashed upon an opposing location, in war or resisting mystics, to cause havoc in that sense. It's been striken down, but word traveled, and it was not hushed in time. This adds to the fear of those with Ekreler.
There's been som dispute about how it activates.
Some show extreme emotion tends to overwhelm those around them, affecting their own myst levels.
In appearance, it is similar to Erihale where the affected have darkened skin, most notably on the face, but the similarties stop there. There is no "spillage" as there is in Erihale, theorized as that deals with an overflow of myst, and Ekreler the lack of.
One notable figure with Ekreler when it was recognized as a disease, was Dilefir A Drakmuth. Diagnosed after her death, there was enough information about her in Personal Logbooks and general statements that she had a clear case of Ekreler. Her appearance was darkened skin around her eyes and her lips, and many didn't believe her as she claimed she wore no makeup on her face. It didn't help that some days it was darker than others, namely stressful or high emotional times, as is listed as a symptom with Ekreler. While there were many suspicous deaths in her wake, the most notable were her sudden and mysterious deceased husbands. Her two sons Arlabips A Drakmuth and Noldhir Of Maginven A Drakmuth lost their father shortly after Noldhir was born. Upon moving to 'Lorehon Midarnodow Urning, she married Kegerem A Drakmuth A Podigen †, he died befire their son Weringal The Drakadlor A Drakmuth was born. She was described as a hardworking, determined, and very mean woman, in the years following, and she secluded her and her newborn son. Only when he grew older did she really come back into society, and less ornery. It's speculated that she took this time to manage her Ekreler by scholars, but there was no note of her or anyone around her to be knowledagable about the undiagnosed sickness, and remains unproven.
