Scarlet Order
The Scarlet Brotherhood, sometimes referred to as the Scarlet Order, is a secretive, fanatical organization rooted in ancient traditions, rigid hierarchy, and a belief in racial and cultural superiority. Cloaked in mystery and feared for their ruthless efficiency, the Brotherhood presents itself as a disciplined, enlightened society—but behind its veil of order lies a dangerous ideology and a network of manipulation, espionage, and conquest.
Structure
The Scarlet Brotherhood is more than a secret society; it is an entire hidden nation located in the Tilvanot Peninsula, governed by a theocratic and authoritarian regime. At its highest levels, it is ruled by a council of shadowy figures and ultimately guided by a mysterious spiritual leader known only as the Father of Obedience.
The order is structured hierarchically, with ranks earned through loyalty, discipline, and proven effectiveness. Members include:
- Monks and assassins, trained from childhood in silent obedience and deadly efficiency.
- Spies and agents, placed throughout other nations to spread influence, gather intelligence, and sow discord.
- Priests and mystics, who uphold the Brotherhood's dogma and serve as both spiritual and political advisors.
- Noble bloodlines, those of "pure" Suel descent, who are groomed for leadership and considered the ideal representation of the Brotherhood’s vision.
Public Agenda
The Brotherhood rarely engages in open warfare. Instead, they prefer infiltration, subversion, and manipulation. Their agents pose as merchants, advisors, scholars, or missionaries, embedding themselves in foreign courts and cities to quietly influence events to their advantage.
They have been known to foment rebellions, destabilize kingdoms, and incite wars—all to weaken rivals and create opportunities for control. When they do strike directly, their forces are swift, coordinated, and merciless.
Across the world, the name "Scarlet Brotherhood" conjures a mixture of fear, revulsion, and awe. To most, they are fanatics and conspirators, cloaked in red robes, whispering about bloodlines and destiny. To a select few—especially those with Suel ancestry—they are a temptation: a promise of restored greatness and disciplined order in a chaotic world.
Despite their rigid ideology, the Brotherhood is highly pragmatic. They have cooperated with non-Suel powers when it serves their ends, only to later betray them when their usefulness wanes.
The Scarlet Brotherhood is not merely an organization—it is an ideology wrapped in secrecy and ritual. It thrives in shadows, advances through weakness, and strikes only when the world least expects it. It represents the dark side of order: control without compassion, discipline without mercy, and legacy without humility.
To face the Scarlet Brotherhood is not just to confront a political enemy, but to resist a worldview where blood determines worth, and the past justifies the oppression of the future.
History
The Scarlet Brotherhood traces its origins to the ancient Suel people, an empire destroyed in cataclysmic wars long ago. From the ashes of that empire, the Brotherhood emerged in isolation, preserving Suel traditions, language, and bloodlines with obsessive fervor. They view themselves as the last torchbearers of a once-great civilization, chosen to guide—or subjugate—the world.
At the core of their belief system is Sueloise supremacism: the conviction that the pure-blooded Suel are destined to rule, and that other races and cultures are inferior. This ideology, combined with monastic discipline and cunning statecraft, drives their actions across the world.
