Laveeda Mindefisk

Laveeda Mindefisk

Laveeda and Leticia Mindefisk, the lost sisters of Lorinda, are hags bound in unlife and servitude, imprisoned within the fat, black cauldron that fuels the Gurgyl—Lorinda’s living, wandering home. Once part of a trio of terror and blood-magic, the sisters now exist in a state of eternal suffering, half-dead and half-remembered, their wills broken and their powers twisted into instruments of their elder sister’s monstrous motherhood.

Laveeda was once the most vocal of the sisters—sharp-tongued, cruelly poetic, and gifted in weaving riddles, curses, and song-spells. Her laughter was a weapon, her lullabies laced with enchantments that lured children into the woods, never to return.

  • Now, she is a disembodied voice that echoes from the cauldron’s bubbling mass. Her once lyrical tone is distorted, her riddles twisted into nonsensical pleas and muttered invocations.
  • At times, her voice whispers through the floorboards of the Gurgyl, lulling intruders into sleep or madness.
  • Laveeda remembers what she was and resents her imprisonment, but her power is so tightly bound to the cauldron that her screams only stoke its fires.

She is hate without shape, fury without hands—a ghost bound in broth.

Lorinda claims that her sisters are “resting” or “helping with the housework,” but the truth is more grotesque. The cauldron is not merely a vessel of soup and spells—it is a womb of suffering, a heart-lung-brain for the Gurgyl, kept boiling by the psychic pain of two eternally dying hags.

  • Their power fuels Lorinda’s creations, animates the Gurgyl’s limbs, and imbues her monstrous children with fragments of their voices and dreams.
  • Sometimes, faces press against the cauldron’s surface, weeping, whispering, or screaming.
  • Their souls are anchored to the cauldron, unable to escape or rest, but still aware—dimly—of the cycle they are trapped in.

Laveeda and Leticia Mindefisk, once Lorinda’s cruel and cunning sisters, are now broken shades bound within her cauldron—reduced to nightmares, whispers, and the boiling heart of her blighted hearth.
