Heroes of the Realm

The Heroes of the Realm are a band of six unlikely champions—Bobby, Diana, Eric, Hank, Presto, and Sheila—whose origins lie not in the world they protect, but in another altogether. By mysterious fate, they were transported from Earth, from a time known as the 1980s, into this fantastical realm of magic, monsters, and ancient conflict. Though they arrived as bewildered strangers, they would come to be hailed as heroes of legend, their exploits remembered across kingdoms and ages.

Structure

  • Hank, the steadfast leader, wielded a magical energy bow and emerged as the heart and compass of the group. His courage and resolve often held the group together through moments of despair.
  • Diana, agile and bold, used a magical staff with acrobatic precision. A natural athlete and tactician, she served as the group’s moral center and fiercest defender.
  • Eric, armored and armed with a magical shield, was the group's reluctant protector. Though often skeptical and brash, his sarcasm masked a deep loyalty and bravery that revealed itself in moments of crisis.
  • Sheila, quiet and observant, bore a cloak of invisibility. As the group's scout and often its emotional anchor, she provided stealth, insight, and unwavering compassion.
  • Presto, the young wizard, carried a spellcasting hat that produced unpredictable magic. His lack of control masked a keen mind and a desire to prove himself—not to others, but to himself.
  • Bobby, the youngest, wielded a mighty club and embodied fearless energy. With his loyal unicorn companion at his side, he was both the group’s fiercest fighter and most innocent soul.

History

The Heroes of the Realm did not begin their journey with training, prophecy, or lineage. They were ordinary young people—students, siblings, and friends—on a simple amusement park ride when they were swept into a dimensional rift that hurled them into this world. Lost, far from home, and initially seeking only a way back, they were thrust into a realm of danger and wonder that would shape their destiny.

Each was gifted—or perhaps burdened—with a unique magical item, seemingly chosen for them by an enigmatic force. These artifacts became both their tools and their symbols, linking them to the deeper magic of the world and reflecting aspects of their nature and growth.

Their journey through this realm was never easy. Constantly pursued by dark forces that sought to exploit their power or prevent their return home, they faced treacherous landscapes, cunning villains, and ethical dilemmas far beyond their years. Yet time and again, they rose to the challenge—not through strength alone, but through cleverness, teamwork, and compassion.

They never lost their yearning for home, but they came to understand that being heroes meant protecting others, even if the world they served was not their own.

Though some dismiss them as legends or travelers from a fable, the deeds of the Heroes of the Realm are preserved in bardic song, ancient scrolls, and whispered tales. Their arrival is seen by some as a sign of cosmic balance—that in times of great peril, champions may be drawn from beyond the veil of worlds.

They are remembered not for their origins, but for their deeds: defenders of the innocent, challengers of tyrants, and seekers of the path home, who became protectors of the realm they never asked to enter, but came to love all the same.

Where they are now—whether they found their way back to their world or chose to remain—is unknown. But wherever their journey ended, the world remains forever changed by their passage through it.
