Dragonborn

Dragonborn resemble humanoid dragons but lack wings and tails. Standing typically between six and seven feet tall, their muscular frames are covered in fine, durable scales that glisten in hues reflective of their draconic ancestry—ranging from metallic golds and silvers to the deep reds, blues, and blacks of chromatic bloodlines.

Their heads are elongated and reptilian, with pronounced snouts, ridged brows, and sharp teeth. Their eyes are slitted and intense, often glowing faintly with an inner fire. While some Dragonborn have crests, horns, or frills, these features vary greatly depending on lineage and bloodline.

Dragonborn are distinguished by their breath weapon: a potent exhalation of elemental energy tied to their draconic heritage. In battle, this ability can turn the tide of combat, while in peaceful times, it remains a powerful symbol of their identity.

Their bodies are naturally resilient, and many display uncanny resistance to the elemental force associated with their ancestry. Though not as innately magical as true dragons, Dragonborn often exhibit a talent for leadership, martial prowess, and arcane study.

Dragonborn societies tend to be structured, honor-driven, and deeply communal. This connection is not merely physical but spiritual; each Dragonborn carries a lineage tied to a specific type of dragon, which often influences their temperament, worldview, and elemental affinity.

Every Dragonborn carries the legacy of a particular type of dragon—metallic or chromatic, sometimes even more exotic strains. This ancestry defines the elemental nature of their breath weapon (fire, cold, lightning, acid, or poison) and often informs their personalities:

• Blue or Bronze: Strategic and commanding.
• Green or Brass: Charismatic and cunning.
• White or Silver: Stoic and resilient.
• Black or Copper: Fierce and fiercely independent.
