Godmakers

Those that have the knowledge and faith-capital to craft a god. They direct the process in such a way to result in the preferred domains, while the most skilled can even affect the temperament of the resulting god.   Overwhelmingly, this profession is manned by Humans. An unsurprising fact, considering the species history. However, it is becoming more common for individuals from other races to throw their hat into the ring. This often results in them being shunned by their people, and especially their own god(s).
I heard a theory once that the Primordial Gods that cut off the individuals of their congregations that join the God-Industry could be doing it for the pragmatic reasons of protecting their faith, rather than the emotional one of 'betrayal' by the individual in question.   This makes sense, to an extent, as anyone that has access to the network of faith that the Primordial Gods are would be as the leech. Constantly sucking faith out to feed other gods, Crafted Gods, which will not be returned to the network.
