Kaluyan
Kaluyan, also known more simply as the Elven Commune, is a nation of refugees. After their home continent was scoured in a cataclysm that forced the elves from their ancestral lands and exiled the drow beneath the earth, the elves fled to Irulia where they settled along the coast. While the wood elves came with, they spread further out, mostly coming to Carne and Lhynoon as the untamed woodlands of those lands suited the wyld elves rather well. All other elves, with the exception of the drow, own substantial swaths of Kaluyan.
Although the sun elves, otherwise known as the high elves, hold the most power within this commune, it is also home to the sea elves, moon elves, and was one home to the incredibly elusive mithral elves. Or, so the legends say. Kaluyan is an isolationist country, in no small part due to the sun elves' mastery over magic meaning they want for very little and need not interact with the outside world. Indeed, they have even set up wards along their borders to repel invaders. Even without those borders, most know the elves wield magic that far outstrips anything in Irulia and know only a fool would provoke them into open warfare.
